At the next\u2014and for now last\u2014storytelling evening of the Emergent Archives, we will be talking to Koray Y\u0131lmaz-G\u00fcnay. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the 1990s, as a young gay man with a migrant background, he witnessed how the Berlin gay and lesbian movement of the time increasingly alienated people with migrant backgrounds, racialized people, poor people, trans people, and queer people. Together with allies, Koray became involved in the self-organization of marginalized gay and lesbian communities and, through various political groups and most recently through the association GLADT e.V., had a significant influence on the Berlin and German discourse on the terms \u201cqueer\u201d and \u201cof color\u201d (more information here<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this conversation, we will examine how queer alliances have developed since the 2000s and the central role that the development and transformation of political terms has always played in practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
