Grants are awarded via the district budget as well as from the Senate Department for Culture and Social Cohesion and the Senate Department for Education, Youth and Family.<\/p>\n<p>Funding from the Senate Department for Culture and Social Cohesion is awarded to the independent cultural scene in Berlin-Mitte via the programmes Bezirkskulturfonds (BKF), Berliner Projektfonds Kulturelle Bildung (BPKB), F\u00f6rders\u00e4ule 3 and the programme for children&#8217;s, youth and puppet theatre (KiA). The calls for proposals are issued once a year, usually in autumn, and are announced in good time and advertised in info sessions. If required, it is possible to take advantage of the counselling services offered by the Project Funding Office.<\/p>\n<p>An independent expert jury, which changes regularly, decides on the allocation of the respective funding. If the funding guidelines of the Senate Department for Culture and Social Cohesion do not specify any requirements for the composition of the jury, the Department of Art, Culture and History invites people with many years of professional experience and qualifications to take part in the jury meetings. Berlin interest groups from the fields of visual and performing arts, literature, history and music have the right to nominate candidates for the respective committees. When appointing the jury, care is taken to ensure that diverse perspectives are taken into account. The jury meetings are not open to the public. Members of the respective specialist juries cannot submit their own applications for the duration of their appointment, but are remunerated for their participation in the jury meeting.<\/p>\n<p>Here you will find information and the latest news on calls for proposals, competitions and open calls organised by the Berlin-Mitte district authority.
