The Furies, the Amazons, and the Greek heroes are among the many protagonists of ancient classical mythology, whose diverse narratives offer different and complex perspectives on our relationship with the more-than-human world. Through conversations, somatic exercises, and an immersive audio experience, we will explore the various roles that animals play in these legendary narratives.
Amazonen in Berlin is an art collective founded by Chiara Faggionato and Lina Mazenett. The collective develops artistic, community-oriented, and educational projects that critically engage with sculptures and artworks in public spaces and museum collections. At the heart of their work is the reclamation of mythologies, particularly the figure of the Amazons as female warriors, recontextualized through ecofeminist and decolonial perspectives. Their artistic practice unfolds through participatory formats such as walks, workshops, and experimental guided tours.
