The MuseumLab is located in the former mayor’s room of the Tiergarten town hall. In changing exhibitions, special attention is paid to the exploration of the district’s history of National Socialism and topics with political, social and historical references. Research into the Tiergarten town hall’s building and use is planned and will be presented in an exhibition. Since the Mitte Museum trains academic interns, the MuseumLab also serves as an exhibition space where the interns of the Mitte Museum can present their research and curatorial skills. As an open space, the MuseumLab offers employees and visitors of the town hall various opportunities to learn about the history of the district, the building and the working processes of the Mitte Museum.
