The former East City Centre is particularly rich in architecture-related artworks. At the time of their installation, these works engaged with the contemporary visions of the city and art. Today, they form part of a heritage that is being preserved, ignored, restored, altered and expanded.
The tour examines the works and the surrounding urban fabric in their historical context and critiques them from a contemporary perspective, with a focus on the changing role of art in the urban environment.
