The author Inana Othman will be accompanied musically by Ahmad Ajouz and will then speak with the director Thu Hoài Trần about her poetry and her latest writings.
Voices are stored between the lines. Archives rest beneath the skin. In the cracks of memory, images, smells, names and languages gather that no state memory can preserve. Accompanied by the sounds of the oud and fragments of image, sound and movement, Inana Othman leads us through poetic spaces along the traces of the missing person: the glances of an imprisoned father, the songs of a grandmother, the hands of a silent mother, the fault lines of an exile geology. Between the prisons of Syria and the asylum homes of Germany, between Mesopotamian myths and cosmic imaginative worlds, memory appears as a living force – inscribed in bodies, scars and language. A polyphonic counter-archive of sound, image and word is created, in which the poem becomes a temporary home and the disappeared continues to breathe.
